Since this project is not involved with our University, our priorities lie mainly in minimizing component costs, and in this same way, we will have to work around our limited access to equipment. On the other hand, the objectives we have identified for this drone to complete may contribute to an increased cost for our components. To start, we had chosen to go with a drone powered by rotors, particularly a hexacopter drone. This hexacopter will be built to maximize stability and speed. Once the hexacopter is able to fly, the drone will be upgraded to accommodate search and rescue missions.
